I was never really good at talking about myself, but here goes...
Since my high school days I've always had a connection with cameras - 35mm, twin lens reflex medium format, and even large format film cameras. I am dating myself, but in HS there was no such thing as digital cameras! I continued to study art and photography in college, but ultimately went the educational route. During student teaching I had a lot of fun teaching high schoolers basic and advanced photography and alternative processes. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a job for several years. I decided to turn back to my old faithful and have had, and still have, a very successful job in hospitality. My job allows me to interact with and meet people from all walks of life, and even better allows me the freedom to continue to pursue photography and other things I love - like travel, hiking, and spending time with family and my fur babies!
I'm always challenged and learning new things when it comes to photography, especially digital as I have been mostly self taught. No two clients are alike, and just like photography I embrace each new opportunity with an open mind and fresh outlook. In every aspect of my life I really enjoy people, and what better way to expose myself to them by being a vital part of telling their story through photographs? Whether it's their wedding day, their first born, or holiday celebrations with family, it's always new and exciting. I can't complain that I wake up every day and can honestly say that I enjoy what I do!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I look forward to getting to know you, too!
